Media Psychology
Media Psychology
with Jonathan White
PSYC 4845.2 DT
People in the Western world now spend more time interacting with, or through media, than with each other. This course applies psychology to media in examining our interaction, for better or worse, with the web, television, movies, video games, books, mobile devices and advertising. Students will learn how we construct stories and other media to be compelling and how they affect us; how Facebook and other new media are changing the media landscape, and how media can be used positively.
