E - Readers

E - Readers

Hey guys,
I have to create a presentation about e-readers and don't really have much experience with them. I'm just trying to compile some resources and I was just wondering if any of you had some advice, experiences, links or info on them. Anything would be great!

  1. You'll definitely want to note that the Halifax Regional Library offers a large amount of ebooks for free to patrons, which can be downloaded and viewed on any e-reader which supports EPUB or OverDrive Media Console. You can find more information at http://www.overdrive.com/resources/drc/Default.aspx?type=ebook. Hope that helps!

  2. I have just downloaded the OverDrive Media Consoles on the computers for the audiobooks at Spencer House, and I find it to be such a great resource! I've always recommended users to peruse http://digitalmedia.halifaxpubliclibraries.ca and when you make it compatible with the Media Console, it's very easy to use (just click and read)! You may also want to get Adobe Digital Editions for their eBooks. As long as you have the right programs downloaded it's like browsing the stacks at your desktop. =)
